Certified: NF Collective

The NF Collective is a group of organizations dedicated to improving the lives of neurofibromatosis (NF) patients and their families by providing accurate and reliable information about NF resources and caregivers.

NF refers to a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF includes neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), and all types of schwannomatosis (SWN), including NF2-related schwannomatosis (NF2), formerly called neurofibromatosis type 2.

Recognizing a critical need for NF families to find reliable NF care, the member organizations of the NF Collective joined forces to provide a single, reliable, updated resource of NF providers.

NF Collective follows a number of High-Impact Practices to maintain and improve their operations. NF Collective supports their project-based theory of change by decentralizing leadership and efforts, managing the network through a charter that outlines roles and responsibilities and is readdressed at each in-person summit, and by using data to better analyze the NF community interacting with their initiatives.

NF Collective is working towards moving from a project-based to a systems-based theory of change, and has used NNSI's High-Impact Practices to recognize and address gaps in their service to achieve a greater social impact.
